NOTE 22 / OWN

Check Livan X3 Pro Fuel, Consumption and Emissions

Fuel and emissions figures belong to a market version and test method. The Russian distributor lists petrol of at least 92 octane and a 45-litre tank for its CVT version. Belgian material lists Euro 6e, WLTP consumption of 7.2 L/100 km for manual and 7.33 L/100 km for CVT, plus a market-specific petrol/LPG option. Verify the candidate before using any figure.

The purpose of this worksheet is to turn a broad model-name search into a decision that can be checked, quoted and handed over without silently changing assumptions.

Continue the evidence route: Confirm the 1.5-litre engine and gearbox through the X3 Pro powertrain guide, keep service evidence in the maintenance plan, and obtain destination acceptance before following the China export route.

01

Identify the fuel system

Read the engine, fuel label, registration and conformity documents. A Belgian bi-fuel petrol/LPG offering does not prove another-market vehicle has approved LPG hardware, and an aftermarket conversion needs its own installation and destination evidence.

Record: Save the source, capture date and VIN reference beside this finding so another candidate cannot inherit it by mistake.

02

Use the correct octane reference

The Russian page specifies petrol with an octane number of at least 92 for its vehicle. Translate rating methods carefully and follow the exact owner's or homologation material for the candidate and destination fuel supply.

Record: Enter the verified value and the evidence owner. If the seller supplied the answer, label it seller-stated until independently checked.

03

Qualify consumption claims

WLTP figures from Belgium describe stated manual and CVT versions under a controlled method. Real results change with traffic, speed, climate, load, tyres, maintenance and driving style, so they are comparison inputs rather than delivered guarantees.

Record: Record what was inspected, what remained inaccessible and who performed the check; silence is an open item, not a pass.

04

Verify emissions identity

A Euro 6e statement on Belgian material does not automatically apply to a Russian, Chinese or other export vehicle. Match emissions standard, type-approval data, engine calibration and required destination documents before contracting.

Record: Note every destination assumption behind this conclusion and reopen it when the port, buyer country or registration route changes.

05

Inspect consumption-related condition

Check fault codes, readiness, exhaust, oxygen and fuel-control data where supported, air filter, plugs, fluids, tyre pressure and CVT behaviour. Abnormal consumption can reflect use conditions, poor maintenance or an unresolved mechanical fault.

Record: Attach the supporting photograph, report page or document reference and preserve the original language where translation could alter meaning.

06

Budget the ownership route

Model fuel availability, expected use, local emissions testing, service items and possible diagnostic work. Keep official test figures, buyer assumptions and observed candidate data in separate columns so a changed route can be recalculated.

Record: State the commercial consequence: accept, reject, reprice or request more evidence, together with the person responsible and deadline.

01

Build a comparable driving case

Define annual distance, urban share, typical speed, passenger and cargo load, climate and fuel price. Apply the same case to each candidate. A single test-cycle number or seller dashboard photo cannot answer cost for a buyer whose route and conditions differ materially.

02

Audit the trip-computer evidence

Photograph distance, average speed, elapsed time and reset state together with displayed consumption. Short samples and recent resets have little value. Where practical, reconcile fuel added with distance over a longer controlled interval and record tyre pressures, air-conditioning use and traffic.

03

Keep LPG claims separate

For a bi-fuel candidate, identify factory or converted status, tank date, component approvals, installation documents, service history and destination legality. Price inspection and future support before assigning a fuel-cost benefit. Belgian availability is evidence about that offer, not universal X3 Pro equipment.

04

Close the emissions gate before payment

Ask the destination adviser which original documents, standards, tests and modifications are accepted for that VIN. Record the authority, answer date and unresolved condition. A model marketed under a standard elsewhere can still fail when its specific approval path or paperwork differs.

Primary market references

These official pages describe their own markets. Confirm the selected VIN and destination rules before using a figure.

Close the note with a decision record

Write the selected candidate, rejected alternatives, evidence reviewed, unresolved questions, responsible person and next deadline. If another vehicle replaces the candidate, reopen identity, inspection, cost and destination checks. A copied conclusion is not valid for a different VIN.

Questions buyers should still ask

Identify the fuel system: what should the buyer retain?

Retain the dated document, image or test result that closes “Identify the fuel system”, together with the VIN and the name of the person who supplied or checked it. A listing label alone is not sufficient evidence.

Use the correct octane reference: what should the buyer retain?

For “Use the correct octane reference”, write down what is verified and what remains an assumption. An open point may be acceptable, but it must stay visible in the price, inspection scope or handover conditions.

Qualify consumption claims: what should the buyer retain?

Recheck “Qualify consumption claims” if the vehicle, destination, route or responsible supplier changes. Conclusions belong to the candidate and dated evidence set; they should not be copied to a replacement VIN.
